September 2004 Update
Well, it's less than 2 months away from the election, and of course the Bushies are throwing dirt all over the place. I don't know where to start.
The past couple of months have been busy. I've been working hard on the campaign veterans policy board, and Samantha and I traveled up to Philadelphia to meet JK at his plane, and then appear with him on stage. It rained most of the day, but Sam remembers shaking JK's hand and him signing her shirt!
On Sept. 12, I attended the Veterans for Truth rally at Capitol Hill, where us Veterans for Kerry, Veterans for Peace, and Veterans Against the War were kept from joining the crowd by the Capitol Police. Even our reminders of who let the Assault Weapons Ban lapse did not soften their hearts. Some Vets for Dubbya really treated some of their fellow veterans shabbily; I was accosted by 2 mounted police because I said something to some stupid Bushie dyed blonde. OOOHHH!
I think we made NPR, but the local news didn't show up. I don't know how anyone can think that the media is liberal. What are they reporting on? THINK ABOUT IT. No one is asking about Bush's failed economic policies; his trashing of safe air and water regulations, and his union-busting job loss tactics. Come ON, folks! Wake up! Bush doesn't care about ANYTHING except filling the pockets of himself and his rich cronies.
Look what's happening in Iraq - MORE soldiers are dying every day; every day that we are there, we are creating MORE people that hate us; I don't think that us being there has made any Iraqis very happy or secure; Iraq is a FAILED POLICY of revenge against Saddam Hussein; Iraq had NOTHING to do with the attacks of 9/11/01.
So, if you're still undecided about who you're voting for, please take a look at the record of the Bush administration - do NOT get your news from only the TV. Study the candidates - go to www.johnkerry.com if you're a Bushie, and READ. Email me at njcj3@yahoo.com for talking points. There is nothing that either Bush or Cheney are saying that is the whole truth; they have lied to us before, and they will continue to lie to us.
If you're a Kerry fan, wear a Kerry-Edwards button when you go out; put a Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker on your car; talk to your friends who are undecided and tell them why you're supporting Kerry and Edwards.
